A Word From Your Pastor
Firstly, thanks to Von Downing and Ray Stankunas for their effort at chopping up some of the larger branches of the white oak tree severely damaged by wind over a week ago. As I mentioned at Mass this past weekend, it is sad to see that majestic oak so damaged. As a result we have to have the tree brought down entirely to protect the church building. P.S. The cost is $5800. You might keep that in mind as you make your parish contribution.
As of Tuesday of this week we just passed our 2020 Bishop’s Annual Appeal diocesan goal of $98,000. Our total pledged is $99,000. Now it’s on to attacking the additional funds we need to support the needs of our parish. As of Friday we are now at $122,000 in pledges. Thanks so much to all who have made their generous gift.
Please find below a prayer I came across this week that seems to address where we are today.
"O Lord, as we travel through this day of our life, our strength is in you; in our hearts are the roads to our eternal destination, the place where you dwell forever with your people in joy and in peace. Sustain us as we pass through the bitter valleys of suffering; shield us as dangers threaten; let us rejoice in the springs of living water that refresh us on our way; and keep us faithful until journey’s end, through Christ our Lord, Amen."

Please wear your mask when when entering and exiting our church building as well as during Mass.
Masks exercise good judgement and respect your health and the health of those around you. Thank you!
